Singing Sands is organised by Dancing Peacock, a Jaipur-based company that specialises in designing folk music concerts and musical & cultural experiences.
The company was invited to design bespoke concerts and experiences for prestigious occasions such as G20 summits, Great Indian Travel Bazaar and visit of the US Vice President. It also has to its credit the first Hawa Mahal Festival designed as a street carnival at the iconic monument of the Pink City.



Vinod Joshi
Director
Singing Sands has been designed by Mr Vinod Joshi, a renowned cultural expert and the co-founder of Dancing Peacock. He has played a key role in conceiving and shaping over 40 festivals, giving a platform to more than 10000+ folk artists.
He has also served as the Community Director of the Jaipur Virasat Foundation, the organisation that conceived and continues to oversee the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF).
Additionally, he has held the role of Regional Festival Director for the Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Jodhpur RIFF). He is also the festival director of the renowned Momasar Utsav, India’s biggest rural folk festival.
Naveen Tripathi
Producer
Naveen is a leading communication and experiential designer. Over last twenty-five years, he has designed of hundreds of large scale, specialised events.
He is credited with setting up of the first and now the largest communication and experiential design company of Rajasthan.
Naveen is a passionate advocate for conservation of rich human cultural heritage.
Smriti Tripathi
Producer
Smriti is a multi-talented individual with 25+ years of experience in building and running businesses. While on one hand she regularly mentors startups, Smriti is on a personal level deeply appreciative of history, art and culture.
Singing Sands is her canvas for creating an experience that deeply satisfying, entertaining and binds people closer to art and culture.
Owen Mortimer
Honorary International Advisor
Owen Mortimer is a music professional with over 20 years’ success leading initiatives for well-known organisations in the UK and India. He also has extensive experience as a music journalist, editor and copywriter.
Owen’s professional journey includes launching the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Jodhpur RIFF) and eight years at the helm of International Piano magazine.
He currently leads on corporate relations for the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
